Every week
SUNRISE and BREAKFAST on the mountain
Once a week at about 5:00AM, we take the mountain taxi to the Sennjoch and experience a powerful sunrise over unbelievable mountain scenery. Afterwards, we enjoy breakfast at the Sennjoch hut at 2,200 meters with a hike to finish up.
Hiking with the owner
As a licensed mountain hiking guide, I take lots of hikes with my guests. From simple walks through uncharted Tamarack woods to sunrise on the Serles (2,700 meters), anything and everything is possible. The "shoe size" of our guests dermines the type of hike, all equally unforgetable ...
2 panorama cameras right in your hotel room!
It´s said to be "overbright" by the locals, and it´s described in songs "in the valley below is the fog, but on the mountain everything is clear".
So that you don´t make the mistake of staying in your hotel room because of "bad weather", two channels on your hotel room TV are weather panorama cameras. One panorama camera films the Stubaier peak and another sits on the Kalkkögel, also called the North Dolomites ...
Then you have excuse but to go out and up the mountain.
Departure at 3:00PM with the Atzi-Duck from the hotel to the Schlick 2000 lift station. Ride up the mountain with the cable car to Koppeneck station. Hike with me or my college Harald over the "Gloat trail" to the Pfarrach Alm at 1,800 meters.
A rustic hut dinner of crispy "Rippelen" and "Kaiserschmarrn" for dessert await you on the mountain. Entertainment will be provided by the accordian, a Stubaier original. Bring a good mood with you, and this will be a fabulous evening!
Every Monday HIKING CONVERSATION TABLE with HIKING TIPS
With 5 hikes a week, we need a discussion about the planned trips. This used to be assisted by an overhead projector, but is now accompanied by video projector, laptops, internet connections, digital hiking maps, etc.
Whether or not it actually works better now ...
This is the perfect time for to ask questions, hiking tips, etc of the "licensed mountain guide".
Our extensive breakfast buffet has become legend among our loyal guests. Our organic corner with our own "Kornmuehle" is particularly great for mountain climbers looking to conserve energy.
For a mountain snack break, you can grab snacks from our breakfast buffet and take it with you. Drinks are available for sale at our cost.
Twice a week NORDIC WALKING
At least twice a week you will have the opportunity to do Nordic Walking with my wife. She will teach you the secrets of Nordic Walking and give you the necessary tips.
And if you enjoy it and want to try it again on your own, you can get selected trail advice and the required equipment.
If the weather isn´t great one day and your hiking boots get wet, it won´t pose any problem for the SKI SHOE DRYER in the ski room! Damp clothes can be hung here anytime as well.
Free rental of HIKING EQUIPMENT
With a deposit you can borrow: Telescoping hiking poles, Nordic Walking poles, Backpacks with water bottles, Snowshoes (small rental fee), Trail map (as a present from the hotel).
Hiking tips, trail descriptions, nature and plant guides are available in the hiking library.
Romantic snowshoe hiking through deep snow in the Tamarack forest. As state-licensed mountain hiking guide, I will personally guide you and show you the natural wonders of Stubaital. We´ll wrap it up with a thrilling sled ride into the valley.
